The Prayer Cycle series was created around the time of the invasion of Iraq. It was always my vision to add a soundtrack of prayer and a request for forgiveness to the sparkling horror that was taking place LIVE on TV.

This video is built around footage of the United State’s initial air strike of Baghdad. It was a dark moment for the world. The true heat of that horror on the ground in Iraq can only be imagined.

Days earlier I had sat in a neighbor’s living room discussing Iraq and her belief that it would be quick and surgical. Her conviction was complete.

All I could say, was that thousands of innocent people would die and that it would NOT be quick. It would be more Vietnam than Falklands. She believed! I did not.
